Pennsylvania Machine Works has acquired the Ladish forged-steel-fitting product line from the Hackney division of Trinity Industries. The acquisition, which was finalized in September, included all Ladish forged-steel finished goods, production equipment, tooling and fixtures. All assets will be removed from Hackney's Cynthiana, Ky., plant to Penn's Aston and Houston facilities.

The Ladish deal is the fourth for Penn Machine in the last several years.

"This acquisition adds a lot of production capacity to Penn," said John C. Lafferty, quality manager at Penn Machine.
