Emerson Climate Technologies purchased Kirloskar Copeland Ltd. (KCL), said to be India's leading compressor manufacturing company. Since 1993 the company has partnered with Kirloskar Brothers Ltd. (KBL) in India, operating KCL as a joint business venture. With a 51% stake in the business, Emerson is now the sole owner of KCL.
