The Winsupply Family of Companies has welcomed a new Local Company with the opening of Winsupply of North Wilmington.

The HVAC parts and equipment supplier was opened in January by president/owner Conner Leahr. The company encompasses 12,000 square feet at 3111 Kitty Hawk Road.

The team at Winsupply of North Wilmington is rounded out by: 

• Zack Huff (Inside Sales/Operations)
• Rickey Eland (Counter Sales)
• Vince Farmintino (Warehouse/Driver)
• Zach Smith (Warehouse)

The team will expand with the addition of an Outside Sales position.

“New Hanover and Brunswick counties are growing fast, and that’s driving a ton of demand for residential new construction material. We’ve used that market to build a solid foundation,” Leahr said.

Rob McCullough, Area Leader for Winsupply, said this new HVAC company complements the existing Winsupply plumbing and electrical companies in the area. Winsupply will continue to add Local Companies in a variety of construction-related sectors.

“There are many custom homes in this area with the need for high-end products,” McCullough said. “Being on the beach, with high humidity, an HVAC location made a lot of sense. With heavy beach traffic and a strong rental market, you can’t have a rental go down during peak season because of delays in maintenance parts.” 

Leahr joined Winsupply in October 2023 as part of the Winsupply Scholarship Program. He was mentored at Wilmington Winlectric, where he built the HVAC division from the ground up.

“The Winsupply business model provides a vehicle for anyone with enough grit and determination to build life-changing wealth,” Leahr said. “The autonomy has forced me to push myself outside of my comfort zone and grow as a leader.”

Leahr said he is planning a customer appreciation event for the end of September.
