LG Electronics is expanding global availability of its latest air-cooled Inverter Scroll Chiller, a next-generation HVAC solution designed for sustainability and efficiency. Using R32 refrigerant with 70% lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) than R410A, the chiller delivers both chilled and hot water, ideal for year-round use in mid-sized commercial buildings. Powered by LG’s All-Inverter compressor and HiPOR oil return system, the unit achieves energy efficiency, with an IPLV of up to 5.9.
Engineered for year-round reliability, the chiller includes twin compressors, vapor injection and refrigerant-cooled heat sinks to ensure stable performance in extreme temperatures, from 14°F to 140°F. Features include compressor backup, sequential defrost and Legionella-suppressing hot water output enhance safety and uptime. The system offers scalable controls: from a 5-inch HMI for small sites to LG’s BECON platform for larger applications. An energy-saving algorithm reduces power use by up to 10%, and Silent Operation mode ensures low noise (68dB) for sensitive environments.
