Gerber faucets add elegance to new Dallas apartment skyscraper

Gerber Dallas bathroom
June 28, 2021

One of the most desirable rental properties now available in downtown Dallas is making its debut with a spectacular, eye-catching design both inside and out. Set in the heart of the Arts District, the new AMLI Fountain Place is considered the city’s most architecturally significant apartment tower. The 45-story building also is the biggest addition to the city’s skyline since 1987. A total of 367 modern residences and penthouse suites feature the newest amenities and creature comforts – and each bathroom is outfitted with Gerber’s WaterSense certified Mid-Town faucets and tub and shower trim.

Construction of the 562-foot tall structure was completed in the first quarter of 2021, and leasing is now underway for the apartments which offer stunning views. The building is outfitted with the same type of glass used on the adjacent, 720-foot tall Fountain Place, which earned critical acclaim from the architectural world when it was erected in the 1980s. That skyscraper has been featured prominently on television for many years, from the days of the 1980s CBS hit show Dallas and several movies, to major sporting events that use a blimp to showcase the city’s skyline.

“It’s an impressive building and we are proud to be associated with it,” said Kevin McJoynt, Gerber’s Director of Product Management – Fixtures. “The COVID-19 pandemic has certainly caused challenges and delays in most industries, but good things are worth waiting for and it is exciting to see this project persevere and have our products be a part of it.”

Austin, Texas-based architect Page Sutherland Page designed the LEED certified building, which includes a pool deck with outdoor lounge areas on top of the nine-story parking garage that is built into the base of the tower. Fort Worth-based TD Industries, a facilities and mechanical services construction company, handled installation of the Gerber products for the 1-3 bedroom units.

Early walkthrough previews indicate Gerber’s Mid-Town two-handle widespread bathroom sink faucet and tub and show trim are earning high praise from prospective renters for the contemporary and sleek style, the company noted. The sink faucet features include a durable ceramic disc valve for drip-free performance, and a clear, non-splash Laminar flow water stream. The faucet also has a metal touch down drain for fast draining and quick installation. Time saving, screw-less installation is an incentive that adds to the attractiveness of the tub and shower trim, Gerber added.

“This property is a prime example of our commitment to the plumbing contractor. Gerber has a great reputation because of our loyalty to the plumbing community, and wholesalers specifically,” explained McJoynt, who has been with the company since 1998.

“I think our product advantages stem from the styles and choices we offer and the great performance they deliver. Whether it is a toilet or tub, or a kitchen faucet, we’ve found that our products exceed expectations because they have all of the same characteristics of higher priced competitor models. Match those expectations with the easy installation and services capabilities and it only makes sense to go with Gerber.”
