To keep pace in the highly competitive plumbing and heating industry, Watts depends on strong, reliable partnerships. Working with savvy, well-respected partners, we are able to broaden our reach and strengthen ties with our customers.

With ASA, we have an outstanding partnership that has thrived over the years and continues to grow and produce mutually beneficial results.

ASA provides a conduit through which we reach two of our key markets – wholesaler-distributors and their suppliers, and in turn, their customers. By keeping ASA informed about updates to our broad range of innovative water solutions and services, as well as the tools and resources we’ve created to promote them, we can regularly inform wholesaler-distributors and their customers through a highly credible organization they trust.

What’s New?

Some recent Watts announcements provide news about resources ASA constituencies can use every day. For example, the new Watts Mobile App (qr.watts.com) for Android and iOS  offers access to:

  • The Watts product catalog, with support documentation, product details and video content;
  • Product installation, registration and asset management capabilities;
  • Product and system recommendations; and
  • Contact information for wholesaler-distributors, as well as Watts local sales representatives.

Our revamped website, Watts.com, is another rich source for wholesaler-distributors and suppliers. With the recent launch, we’ve made it a lot easier to find all of the tools, resources and services Watts and its family of brands provide for use at different stages in a construction project. Listening to feedback from many sources, we reworked the site to make it highly intuitive for busy wholesaler-distributors, suppliers and customers who don’t have time to waste.

Our partnership with ASA provides a way for us to inform wholesaler-distributors and suppliers about Syncta SM (syncta.com), a comprehensive backflow test management platform. This cloud-based software is the only solution available that solves many of the problems common to everyone involved in the backflow life cycle: water purveyors, backflow testers and property owners.

One of the most important types of news we can share through ASA is updates on our training program. At our Watts Works Learning Centers (watts.com), in our North Andover, Massachusetts headquarters and in satellite locations around the world, highly trained instructors combine classroom and hands-on learning to help wholesalers, contractors and others understand how to choose and use the right products for the job at hand. The thousands of people who have taken our courses have enhanced their professional competencies by expanding their knowledge of our products and their skills using them. We are currently rolling out online courses to provide a remote-learning alternative.

Ongoing Cooperation

Five years ago, when the industry was preparing for the pending Lead Free Law, Watts worked closely with ASA to promote awareness of the legislation and its compliance requirements. Taking leadership positions through educational forums and other events, Watts and ASA helped companies effectively prepare for the Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act and ensure that they weren’t caught off guard when it went into effect in early 2014. Going forward, the two organizations will continue to leverage their know-how and leadership roles to keep wholesaler-distributors and suppliers aware of the solutions, tools, resources and services available to help them succeed.
