How did you get into the industry?
My love of interior design along with my education led me to work in a plumbing showroom 19 years ago. This experience exposed me to so many different aspects of the business. I learned about competitive products and the importance of staying on top of industry developments and trends.
What do you like the most about your job/company you work for?
Elkay is a family-owned company with a rich 98-year-old heritage. The team has a great energy and they make you feel like part of the family.
How important do you feel it is to attract young professionals into this industry?
For the industry to thrive and grow it is crucial to attract young professionals. The next generation brings innovative ideas, new solutions and challenges to help us all grow and evolve to stay successful.
How important do you feel it is to attract women into the industry?
Attracting women into the industry is another important factor for success. Diverse teams are the strongest and most successful! Women often have a special way of seeing the details of a project and can find and highlight the beauty in things.
