Fairmont Supply acquires two PVF companies

December 4, 2017

Washington, Pa.-based Fairmont Supply Co., a distributor of industrial maintenance, repair and operation supplies, recently announced it has acquired Industrial Pipe & Supply of Omaha and Industrial Pipe & Valve of Portland.

The Industrial Pipe companies supply pipes, valves and fittings and other materials for large industrial, commercial and infrastructure construction projects, along with refrigeration facilities, aviation facilities, utility providers and heavy mechanical. The Omaha location was founded in 2007 and will continue to be led by Paul VanWerden, who has 35 years of industrial distribution experience.  The Portland location was founded in 2014 and will continue to be led by Mike Baker, who has more than 25 years of industrial distribution experience.

These additions to the Fairmont Supply family of companies support its growth strategy of bringing on strong companies that have experienced teams of industry experts operating in attractive markets, Fairmont explained.

The company added that Omaha and Portland are two new markets for Fairmont with considerable growth potential for its MRO and PVF businesses.  Fairmont Supply entered the PVF market in 2007 with the acquisition of Piping and Equipment, Inc., in the Gulf Coast region.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to bring the Industrial Pipe companies into our family,” Fairmont CEO Paul Fichiera said.  “Most importantly, we are excited about welcoming Industrial Pipe’s experienced and passionate team of industry experts.  Over the years, Industrial Pipe has done an outstanding job of earning trust and confidence from its many customer and supplier partners in Omaha and Portland. Industrial Pipe’s loyal customers will benefit from an even broader product offering while continuing to receive unparalleled customer service from the teams in Omaha and Portland.”
