The Wieland Group, a German-based manufacturer of semi-finished products in copper and copper alloys, as well as finned tubes, heat exchangers, slide bearings and system components, recently, as part of its U.S. growth strategy, acquired a majority stake in Woodbridge, N.J.-based master distributor Kessler Sales & Distribution.

In close  cooperation with Wieland Copper Products in Pine Hall, N.C., the company, now operating as Wieland-Kessler, will leverage an integrated and highly agile supply chain for superior customer service, in close proximity to our customers, with multiple locations in the United States, the group noted.

Furthermore, the Wieland Group continues to enhance its product portfolio and service offerings through Wieland-Kessler’s sales and distribution network, while building on the group’s global expertise in premium copper solutions, it added. Together with Wieland-Kessler, the group noted it will develop the next steps for growing its extruded and drawn copper products portfolio.

The Wieland Group, with headquarters in Ulm, Germany, is a manufacturer of semi-finished products in copper and copper alloys, such as strip, sheet, tubes, rods, wires and sections. Wieland also manufactures finned tubes and heat exchangers, slide bearings and system components.

With a range of more than 100 different copper alloys, the Wieland Group offers product solutions for numerous industries such as the electrical and electronic industry, the automotive industry, the mechanical engineering, air-conditioning, refrigeration and heating sectors, as well as the construction and sanitary industries. If required, the portfolio is complemented by materials such as aluminium, steel and titanium.

The Wieland Group has manufacturing companies, slitting centers and trading companies in many European countries as well as in the U.S., Asia and South Africa. The Wieland Group has about 6,700 employees worldwide.
