Approximately 1.7 billion people do not have basic hygiene services at home. The human cost is devastating: more than 1,000 children under the age of five die every day from diseases spread by unsafe drinking water, poor sanitation, and inadequate hygiene.
Earlier this summer, CEO Kevin Murphy and David Hill, Director of Business Development for Waterworks, Ferguson, participated in a White House roundtable session on lead service line replacement (LSLR), a focused effort to improve the quality of drinking water infrastructure in the US over the next five years funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
Including contributions from all of PMI’s 37 members, the report highlights their achievements relating to water efficiency, sanitation, hand hygiene, sustainability, green building and more.
