A. O. Smith appointed Shawn C. Schmonskyvice president-human resources for its water-heater businesses in North America, India and Europe. Schmonsky replaces Jan Sanford, who retired March 1 after spending nearly 13 years at A. O. Smith. Schmonsky joined the company in 2006.
