American Standard Water Heaters announces the addition of its NAECA-compliant 50-gal. heat pump water heaters to its residential line. The water heaters are ETL, Energy Star and UL certified and are built to last with the inclusion of a magnesium anode rod to ensure longer tank life. Dura-Glas-lined tanks avoid effects of corrosion. The units absorb warmth from ambient air, automatically transferring heat into the water and use comparable floor space as typical electric water heaters. Other features include LCD display, four operating modes to include a vacation mode and more than 50% average savings per year, the company states.
