Uponor North America celebrated the fifth expansion to its 230,000-sq.-ft. corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility in Apple Valley, Minn. The headquarters has more than quadrupled in size since its opening in 1990.

Several political and community leaders were in attendance, including U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar; Congressman John Kline; Deputy State Director for Senator Al Franken — Sara Silvernail; Minnesota state representatives Anna Wills and Tara Mack; Apple Valley Mayor Mary Hamann-Roland; Apply Valley Chamber President Ed Kearney and several members of the Apple Valley City Council and Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce.

“This expansion affirms our brand ideals of connecting, building and inspiring,” Uponor North America President Bill Gray said. “We’re not just trying to turn a profit here. We have a longer-term sustainability commitment to our company and the community.”

Klobuchar referenced Uponor’s recent industry recognitions as a Top 100 Workplace by the Minneapolis Star Tribune and the 2013 manufacturer of the year honor by the Manufacturers Alliance, saying manufacturing is coming back.
