R.E. Michel Co. Acquires New Mexico HVAC Wholesale Distributor
HVACR wholesaler R.E. Michel acquires Climate Equipment in New Mexico.
The R.E. Michel Co. announced it has purchased “the significant assets” of Climate Equipment (Albuquerque, New Mexico), an HVAC wholesaler.
Privately held R.E. Michel celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2010 and expanded into the western part of the U.S. with locations in El Cajon and Van Nuys in southern California, followed by an opening in Phoenix, AZ.
In 2011 the wholesaler opened a branch in Mesa, AZ, and now is expanding into Albuquerque with this acquisition, which will do business as R.E. Michel Co.
“Our business is built upon the principles of providing quality products at a fair price and a passion for superior customer service,” said Doc Michel, president. “We are anxious to demonstrate that to the contractors in the Albuquerque market.”
R.E. Michel Co. operates 225 sales locations and is said to be the fourth largest HVACR wholesale distributor in the U.S.
