"Bill" Christiansen Jr., 83, passed away on August 24,
2010.
SWA Past President John "Bill" Christiansen Jr., 83, passed away on August 24, 2010. He was the national sales manager for American Standard Co. and founder of Chris - More Inc. headquartered in Memphis, TN. He also served as the president of Southern Wholesalers Association from 1982-1983.
After graduating from Shades Cahaba High School, he served in the U.S. Army, Airborne Division. Christiansen was an active member of Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church and a member of the Masons.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 27, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel followed by a funeral service. The burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial donations be directed to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 1100 Ireland Way, Suite 203, Birmingham, AL 35205-7001.
