Manufacturers wishing to qualify new products as
Energy Star can now submit test reports from their own lab for review and
approval by EPA prior to labeling.
All new qualification applications will be
reviewed and approved individually by EPA.
By the end of the year, all products qualifying for Energy Star labeling, would
be subject to qualification testing in an EPA approved, accredited laboratory,
which includes the AHRI Certification Program.
