Economic indicators are showing the rebound will be a vigorous V-shaped recovery. Home prices have stabilized across the nation and are showing an upward trend. Housing inventory is being worked off and returning to normal. This is good momentum for the repair/remodeling industry. BRG believes R/R will see a 6.4% growth through the 2nd quarter. Meantime, distribution industry giants have positioned themselves for growth.

Manufacturer plumbing sales were down 12.4% on an inflation-adjusted basis in 2009, but now are poised to rise. Some of the big plumbing manufacturers lost market share to small companies, some of which are barely on the radar screen. Private label faucets are having a big impact.
