Hajoca Names Emco's Fantham President
Hajoca
Corp., Ardmore, PA, appointed Rick Fantham, president of Emco Corp., London,
Ontario, Canada, as its president effective Jan. 1, 2009. He succeeds Rick
Klau, who will remain involved with the business as chairman of Hajoca. Klau
has served as Hajoca’s president since 1996.
The wholesale giant, ranked No. 7 in Supply House Times’ 2008 Premier 150, celebrates its 150th anniversary this year. Founded by William S. Cooper in 1858, the business took on the name Hajoca Corp. in 1927. It became a privately owned corporation in 1981.
Hajoca acquired Emco Ltd. in 2003, marking its expansion into Canada. In 2006 Emco celebrated 100 years in business. Emco was ranked No. 9 in Supply House Times’ 2008 Premier 150.
