“Dialogue On Design” host Rima Suqi interviews interior designer Jamie Drake.

Maspeth, NY-based Davis & Warshow celebrated the opening of its gallery-like kitchen and bath showroom on Spring Street with the launch of  “Dialogue on Design,” a series of interview conversations with interior designers. The first guest was Jamie Drake, who spoke of his lifelong passion for design and detailed notable projects, clients and sources of inspiration during his nearly 30-year career.

“The idea was to provide an intimate glimpse into the personality behind the industry name, in an environment that encourages [the] creativity and spirit of collaboration that’s at the heart of the design industry,” Sheldon Malc, director of showrooms at Davis & Warshow, said in a statement.

In addition, the wholesaler has established a companion Web site, www.dialogueondesign.com, that features a blog hosted by Rima Suqi, design journalist and former “Best Bets” editor at “NEW YORK.”

A video podcast of the Jamie Drake interview, which was conducted by Suqi, will be available for download on both the site and on iTunes. The video will also be available in WHAT format.

Future “Dialogue on Design” guests include Laura Kirar on Sept. 19 and Sieger Design, scheduled for late October. Additional sessions are planned for 2008. For more information, visit www.dialogueondesign.com or www.dwny.com.
