Delta Faucet Co. has announced its involvement in the MGM Project City Center in Las Vegas. Chosen by MGM Mirage and Gensler, a leading architecture, interior design, planning, and strategic consulting firm, Delta Faucet Co. will provide bath and shower fixtures for the 68-acre urban development. The project will change the face of the Las Vegas strip with a mini-city, redefining urban living. Product from both the Delta and Brizo brands of Delta Faucet Co. will be included.

The MGM City Center is made up of five towers, some which are split between hotel and private residences. The towers are the Pelli, Mandarin Oriental, The Harmon, Veer Towers and Vdara Condo Hotel. Pelli, a 60-story casino/resort, boasts 4,000 rooms and is the project’s center, designed by world renowned architect Cesar Pelli. The other four towers will surround Pelli, creating a “city” right on the strip.

Both Pelli and The Mandarin Oriental Hotel will feature product custom-designed for these towers (both faucets and accessories) by Delta. The Harmon and Vdara will have the Grail kitchen and lavatory faucet, as well as the Grail tub/shower system from Delta’s Urban Collection. The Brizo brand’s Quiessence lavatory faucet will also be featured in the powder rooms in The Harmon and Vdara. The custom product that will be created especially for Pelli and The Mandarin Oriental Hotel will be introduced into the Delta Urban Collection in 2008.

The MGM City Center will be a mini-city, an urban environment complete with its own fire station, an on-site power plant and plenty of pedestrian space. Phase one is expected to open in November of 2009 and is currently the single most expensive privately funded project in the western hemisphere.
