Berg
Steel Pipe Corp. will build a plant at the
site of a former paper mill on land owned by the Alabama State Port Authority
in Mobile, AL. The firm, a division of Europipe of Mulheim, Germany, is
expected to invest about $75 million in the plant. Berg Pipe already has a
manufacturing plant in Panama City, FL, and a U.S. sales office in Houston.
