Spirax Purchases Flow Meter Firm
Spirax Sarco, Inc., (SSI) has purchased Advanced Flow Technology Co. (AFTCO) from AMJ Equipment Corp. of Lakeland, FL, Following the purchase, AFTCO will be merged into Spirax Sarco's EMCO Flow Systems division, which Spirax acquired in June 2005.
SSI President Mark Vernon said, “AFTCO brings a unique and patented electromagnetic meter that has significant customer advantages to serve an important growth market.”
The SSI EMCO division has a broad line of flow measurement technology, which includes vortex, turbine, ultrasonic and differential pressure flow meters, as well as a range of flow processors and transmitters. EMCO serves the HVAC, commercial, municipal and industrial markets for accurate measurement of steam, gas and industrial markets.
