Bell & Gossett's ESP-PLUS Online pump selection program, an interactive tool for selecting and specifying fluid handling products, recently achieved a milestone when it was accessed for a record-setting 500,000th time. The visitor, Bobby Beeding of Consultant Engineering Service from Winston-Salem, N.C., selected a pump for a school project he manages. Bell & Gossett presented Beeding with a Palm M500 handheld organizer, preloaded with Bell & Gossett's System Syzer and Balance Valve software.

In less than two years, the number of visitors to the company's Web site and the number of product selections made has grown 400%, the company said. PDF literature and CAD drawing downloads have tripled and email requests for budget pricing and more information have increased two-fold.

Bell & Gossett, a unit of ITT Industries, manufactures centrifugal pumps, hydronic specialties, heat exchangers, condensate handling equipment, and packaged systems for variable and constant speed pumping, heat transfer and pressure boosting.
