Dresser Inc. has named Chairman Patrick Murray as CEO. He replaced former President and CEO Steven Lamb, who has left the company. Murray will continue as board chairman, a position he has held since May 2004.
The board also named John Ryan as president and COO of the company. In addition to his new role, Ryan will continue to oversee the company's Dresser Wayne business unit until his successor is named.
Murray led the management team in the leveraged buyout of the Dresser operating units in April 2001, and served as the company's first president until November 2002, and as CEO until May 2004.
