Prinson Sales and Dick Johnson & Associates, two veteran independent factory sales agencies based in the Portland, Ore., area, announced their intent to merge and form a new corporation: Cascadia Sales Group Inc.

Cascadia will provide sales and marketing services for manufacturers and distributors of quality engineered products that measure, filter and control fluids. This would include equipment related to water systems, pumping, water/wastewater, irrigation and landscaping, as well as plumbing supplies and industrial plumbing supplies.

Prinson's corporate office will be closed. The existing office of Dick Johnson & Associates will be improved to support the sales, marketing and warehouse activities of the new firm.

Company associates will include Jim Pringle, Dennis Ferney, Tom Keller, Chuck Taunt, Mike Rippe and Glenn Stanley, operating from offices in Oregon, Washington and Montana.

For most factories represented by the new company, the sales territory served will remain: Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, and in Canada, British Columbia and Alberta. The new company name is derived from a specific geographic zone named Cascadia, which includes much of the area of these states in the lower 48 and these two western Canadian provinces.

Prinson Sales and Dick Johnson & Associates spent 30 years in consultative selling, training and problem-solving in the wholesale distribution, dealer and public agency markets.
