Edward J. Felten (center) was honored as the third recipient of the American Supply Association's Fred V. Keenan Lifetime Achievement Award during the ASA convention in Boston in October. Felten has spent 35 years helping to build the company known today as First Supply Group, Madison, Wis., which operates 13 branches in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Over the years, he also has held various positions with ASA, including chairman of its Government Affairs Committee and member of the Executive Committee. He served as ASA president in 1998. Felten led ASA through its White Paper restructuring and helped raise money for the Karl E. Neupert Endowment Fund for the ASA Education Foundation.
