Lewis Kling has been named to the newly created position of chief operating officer at Flowserve Corp. He has more than 35 years of experience in manufacturing operations with General Electric, Harris Corp., Allied Signal, General Signal Corp. and SPX Corp., which he most recently served as group president, corporate vice president and officer. At Flowserve, he will have full responsibility for the company's three operating divisions, as well as the supply chain and continuous improvement functions.

Flowserve Corp. previously announced the resignation of Renee Hornbaker as vice president and CFO due to personal reasons. Simultaneously, the company announced that Richard Guilitinan was promoted to vice president, controller and chief accounting officer. He had been serving as the company's interim controller since March.

Also, the company has named Linda Jojo vice president and chief information officer. She will head information technology for Flowserve's three divisions. She previously was employed by General Electric.
