Bosch Power Tools and Accessories and Bosch Digital Power Tools released SAFE & SOUND™, an RFID tool tracking and theft deterrence service for the construction industry. It offers: more than 60 of the company's power tools tagged with passive RFID tags that are marked with serial number and product information; ToolWatch® SE tool tracking software, which holds employees accountable for their tools at job sites; and EAS security tagging that activates security portals installed at gate entrances.

DeWalt introduced its own construction industry security monitor, Sitelock™, a wireless alarm system that monitors numerous pieces of equipment or areas simultaneously. Through the base unit, which is stationed somewhere inside - such as a job site trailer - five wireless sensors monitor key areas of the site. The device can be moved easily without roaming fees or location change costs.
