Frank David Higgason, 82, founder of National Plumbing & Heating Supply Co., Chicago, died Nov. 7. He bought the company as an existing business in 1967 and over the years expanded it to include a 25,000-sq.-ft. branch in Libertyville, Ill., and a 20,000-sq.-ft. branch with a 1,500-sq.-ft. showroom in Crystal Lake, Ill. In 1985 the company acquired Northwest Supply, which later was merged into National Plumbing & Heating. Higgason retired in 1999. His sons, Robert and Rich Higgason, now co-own the business.
