Emerson Climate Technologies introduced a new Copeland Scroll™ compressor designed to help manufacturers meet and exceed the 13-SEER standard for central air conditioning systems. Its new design increases the efficiency of the compressor by up to 7%, significantly reduces operating sound, and is up to 30% lighter and smaller than the prior version, the company said. It received the AHR Expo Innovation Award in the cooling technology category.
