Tom Torokvei, IPEX chairman, died of a heart attack Feb. 24 while vacationing with his family in the Bahamas. He was 61. Torkvei had been with the Canadian industrial plastic pipe company for 38 years.
“Tom was a valuable colleague, confidant and friend,” said IPEX President and CEO Paul Graddon. “As a leader, he inspired us to reach beyond our perceived limitations, challenging us to pursue the impossible in order to achieve the improbable.”
Torokvei's father, Evaid Torokvei, was the founder of a company merged with another to form IPEX in 1991.
