Smarthome, a retailer of home automation products, announced an exclusive global distribution agreement with technology distributor Ingram Micro to carry a variety of Smarthome's products. Smarthome offers its own branded products, as well as third-party manufacturers, of HVAC and security equipment and entertainment systems. While the two companies' offerings are complementary in some segments, such as the security/surveillance, digital entertainment systems and home networking markets, the new relationship fills niches in other product areas, Smarthome said in a statement. Smarthome also signed a separate reseller contract and will source IT products from Ingram Micro to offer its customers.
