Nevamar Decorative Surfaces named Joseph O. Black national specification manager, Jerry Wilson national accounts manager and John A. Friedel, new product development manager. The company makes high pressure laminate products. Color Marketing Group, an association of color designers that forecasts color directions for manufactured products and services, has elected Terrie Buch-O'Dell to its board of directors. Buch-O'Dell is design manager for Nevamar Decorative Surfaces.
Moen awarded Gail Stoeker of Builder's Plumbing Supply (South Holland, Ill.) a three-night stay at the Excalibur Hotel in Las Vegas as the first winner of its "Steel the Kingdom" promotion. The program offers wholesale showroom consultants incentives to improve their stainless-steel sink sales.
Dornbracht has purchased Alape-Group, based in Penig, Germany. Alape manufactures steel, aluminum and porcelain-enameled design oriented basins, bathroom furniture and interior fittings.
Elkay Manufacturing's Elite Gourmet sink system, stainless-steel undermount sinks and faucets are displayed in a kitchen vignette in the Design Idea Center in Chicago's Merchandise Mart.
