Empire Comfort Systems signed a letter of intent to buy the Broilmaster gas grill division of Martin Industries. The purchase is an attempt to help round-out Empire's product offerings.
Parker Hannifin Corp. acquired Atenas, a manufacturer of air conditioning and refrigeration components in the Latin America market. Atenas serves global and local air conditioning and refrigeration original equipment manufacturers.

The Uponor Group appointed Wade Peterson as its new president and managing director of PEX plumbing and heating markets in Canada. Previously Peterson served as president of Wirsbo. Also, Uponor Wirsbo added Alan Larson to its AQUASAFE team as design manager. Larson was previously the senior systems designer at A-Lert Fire Systems.
