Crane Co.'s Canadian subsidiary has acquired NH Valves, a Newman Hattersley Canada Ltd. company. The acquisition will become part of the Crane Valves North America (CVNA) division of Crane Co's Fluid Handling Group.

The purchase only applies to the NH Valves distribution business. The Newman Hattersley Nuclear Valve manufacturing business is not included or affected in any way. CVNA plans to add the NH brand name to existing Jenkins branded products currently offered by CVNA in Canada.

NH Valves has facilities in Edmonton, Alberta and Mississauga, Ontario. CVNA plans to retain the Edmonton facility and utilize it in an expanded capacity to service all CVNA products for western Canada. In the eastern region, the Mississauga operation will continue for a short transition period before relocating the business into Crane Canada's Brantford, Ontario, operations.

Tony Favilla, director of sales/commercial products, will be responsible for the expanded sales organization in Canada. Brantford operations manager Fred Koch will be responsible for manufacturing and supply of the NH product.
