The U.S. International Trade Commission has instituted a general fact-finding investigation under section 332 of the Tariff Act of 1930 to examine current competitive conditions facing U.S. steel consuming industries with respect to tariffs and tariff-rate quotas on imports of certain steel products imposed by the Bush Administration.

The ITC will submit its report to the President and Congress by Sept. 20 of this year. The ITC will hold a public hearing in connection with the investigation on June 19. For information call 202-205-1816.
