The award is not necessarily bestowed every year, but is based upon a review of nominations received. The ASA Executive Committee functions as the review board for all nominations it receives, and determines in June of each year whether or not an award should be given.
Nominations may be made by any ASA member or vendor member, and should be accompanied by a letter detailing the specific ways in which the nominee has met the criteria (see below). This year's deadline for receipt of nominations is April 12th.
