At The Center of Quality: Metropac Industries

March 3, 2003
Providing Product And Support To Wholesalers.

It's happened to every wholesaler from the largest to the smallest. Your customer calls desperately needing a part right away. This is your chance to save the day, to stand out in the customer's mind as the wholesaler that came through. Unfortunately, you don't have that item in stock. Your first thought is to purchase it from the manufacturer; in that scenario you would either need to buy a case to get the price to make any kind of profit or buy single lot and have to mark up your customer's cost. Either way there is still an expediting charge and a hefty freight charge to have it shipped the same day. Not to mention the red tape involved in having the manufacturer drop ship to your customer ¿if they will.

As an HVAC/R Master Distributor, Metropac Industries is flexible enough to meet the immediate needs of wholesalers as well as market and support the fifty major HVAC/R product lines that they carry. Their product depth reaches from commercial components to residential air cleaners to hydronic controls. "We rely on Master Distributors like Metropac to market and support our products. They provide a seamless link between manufacturer and wholesaler," states Michael Palmer, account executive for Johnson Controls.

Having no outside sales staff, coupled with their purchasing power, Metropac can offer the most competitive prices. Wholesalers don't need to worry about using Metropac as a second source or even as a primary source for HVAC/R products because it won't eat away at their bottom line. Metropac relies on their efficiency and their ability to ship hundreds of packages a day to maintain their low prices.

Metropac's primary focus is on making day- to-day business easier for wholesalers. They offer low prices, discrete drop shipments, same day shipping on all in-stock orders, and UPS next-day packages under 10 lbs are only $9.95. They also have annual spring and fall stock up programs, free training, and monthly specials that wholesalers can take advantage of to save even more. Available on their Web site are electronic catalogs, pricing, warranty tags, and Web order entry that allows customers to place and track orders 24 hours a day. All promotions and events that are happening at Metropac are also posted on their Web site at www.metropac.com. "Their inventory depth and product knowledge make them very easy to do business with," comments Steve Malinonski from Regal Supply Co. "If we have a control question they're our first call."

Metropac's sales staff has years of industry experience and routinely attends training classes to keep up-to-date on the latest products. Each sales person is equipped with the knowledge and the tools to quickly meet the diverse needs of wholesalers. They have instant access to cross-referencing software, product images, and cut sheets, which can be faxed or e-mailed, directly from their computers to the customer.

Metropac has positioned themselves to offer the best prices, a vast inventory, and prompt professional service. They cater to a large assortment of wholesalers with many different needs. Large wholesale chains rely on Metropac for slow-moving items that are not cost effective for them to maintain in their inventory. Smaller wholesalers rely on Metropac's inventory as an extension of their own business, pulling a majority of what they sell everyday from Metropac's warehouse. Additionally wholesalers don't have to turn away sales for a product line they don't carry. Whatever your needs, you can count on Metropac to provide the product selection and the support to enhance your business.

More information about Metropac and their product offerings can be obtained at www.metropac.com or by calling 800-852-HEAT.
