American Granby, an OEM redistributor of accessories to the water well, pool and spa, turf irrigation and plumbing and heating markets, has begun construction of a 113,000-sq.-ft. distribution center in Liverpool, NY, a suburb of Syracuse. The new facility will include a 100,000-sq.-ft. warehouse with a 30-foot ceiling, and office space. Completion is expected by March 1, 2006. The company is investing in state-of-the-art warehouse management systems including new logistics software, wire-guided stock-picking equipment and radio-frequency systems capability. It also plans to install racking systems for the higher ceiling capacity.
