The ASA Center for Advancing Technology exhibited the latest in technology-related solutions available to industry wholesalers and manufacturers during the March 20-22 Embassy Group Ltd. meeting in Miami Beach.

A large crowd was in attendance for all three days, and ASA's exhibit booth saw a steady stream of traffic. With a live connection to the Internet, CAT director Kevin Price gave demonstrations on the newly-released IDB industry database, which boasts more than one million products, and includes data, price updates, product images, and much more.

The popular Source ASA electronic catalog was also of interest to many attendees, and Price explained that the Source catalog is an integral part of the new IDB project. "Combining the data elements like pricing, UPC codes, packaging data, and the marketing content found in the catalogs of Source ASA will produce the most comprehensive, single resource for product information available to the PHCP industry," he said.

Paul Martin, executive vice president of ASA's Education Foundation, was also exhibiting at the conference with several of the Foundation's programs available for the Embassy members to review and sample.
