The members of the Associate Division of ASA (manufacturers, service suppliers, manufacturers representatives and other associations), are proud of their role in helping to support the programs and services of the association. In 2002, the dues revenue of this Division is contributing approximately $250,000 toward this goal.

The dues revenue that ASA realizes from its wholesalers and Associate members is used to fund its government relations program, Center for Advancing Technology activities (not including Source ASA), and day-to-day operations of the organization.

In a nutshell, approximately 25% of ASA revenue is derived from dues (including both wholesalers and manufacturers), with the bulk of the remainder coming from convention and trade show activities.

The Education Foundation is a self-sustaining entity whose day-to-day activities are funded by its programming. New research and project development (like converting the ProductPro books to CD format) are funded by proceeds from the Endowment. Associate members also play a significant role in developing this $9.4 million fund.

Without the support and active involvement of Associate members, who are now voting members of the Board of Directors and represented on virtually all of its committees, ASA would not be able to pursue many of the meaningful programs and directions undertaken on behalf of the wholesale channel.
