Steamist Co. has been acquired by RAF Industries of Jenkintown, PA, and two Grohe executives have left Grohe to join Steamist with an ownership position. Jeff Noll, former president and general manager at Grohe, is the new president of Steamist, succeeding Neil White, former owner and president. Jeff Carney, formerly vice president of sales and marketing at Grohe, is assuming the same title at Steamist.

Steamist's corporate offices and manufacturing facility will remain located in Rutherford, NJ. The company also operates a sales, customer service and warehouse facility in Lancaster, CA.

RAF, which currently owns 18 portfolio companies, felt that Steamist's history of growth, innovation and commitment to product quality made it a great addition to its portfolio of luxury building products, according to Rick Horowitz, president and COO of RAF.

Noll said the category of residential steam baths has tremendous potential as part of the exploding custom shower market. A steam system is a great upgrade for a new home or a bath remodel, he noted.

Also, the residential sauna market is growing and both commercial steam baths and saunas have seen continued growth in institutional markets, Noll said.

The 50-year-old company offers residential steam bath and sauna products and systems, as well as a commercial line of Steambath steam generators, controls and maintenance products.
