Modine announces continued tariff relief and new multiplier discounts for Canadian partners in 2026
Modine has announced it will continue tariff-related support for Canadian channel partners through the end of 2026.
Modine will continue providing tariff-related support for Canadian channel partners through the end of 2026 by extending its PTP multiplier discount and expanding the same discount to the PTX product line. The program provides a 15% effective reduction in the current multiplier for all new eligible orders entered before the end of 2026.
Multipliers will be 0.3145 (paying a 5% commission on distributor orders) and 0.30 (with no commission on direct-to-representative buy/sell orders). Partners should reference Negotiation Number 9873 on all eligible new PTP and PTX orders.
The announcement follows Modine’s July 1, 2025 tariff bulletin and subsequent partner updates, along with the Canadian government’s decision to remove the 25% tariff on select heating categories effective Sept. 1, 2025. The tariff removal applies to Electric Heaters and Gas-Fired Infrared Heaters, and multiplier plans for those product lines have returned to pre-tariff levels.
However, the tariff remains in place for other products, including Gas-Fired Unit Heaters, and is expected to continue for the foreseeable future. Modine’s continued tariff relief is intended to help Canadian partners manage ongoing cost pressures and remain competitive during the heating season.
