Current situation:

• Producer prices for HDPE pipe were down 2.0% M/M (up 0.1% last month) and were down 2.6% Y/Y (down 0.5% Y/Y last month).  Plastic pipe fittings and unions were down 0.8% M/M (down 0.1% last month) and were up 1.2% Y/Y (up 2.0% last month). 

Key factors that could affect supply or price:

• PVC resin price increase of $.03/lb. did go through in June and so far about $.02/lb. of the $.03/lb. July increase is making its way into the market. All the pipe producers report business being very good, so there is an expectation of another resin increase coming soon.
