Freestanding wood bathroom furniture manufacturer Strasser Woodenworks hired Peter Ollestad as its new vice-president of sales.

Ollestad is a longtime veteran of the company who returns after a year away to a higher position on the Strasser executive team.

The company noted Ollestad has dedicated the majority of his career to the bath industry, including spending eight years with Kohler in positions including retail sales specialist, divisional sales manager, and senior sales executive. For the 13 years following, he served as national sales manager for Strasser Woodenworks, leading a team of 60 salespeople across 16 independent sales groups in the U.S. and Canada. His work included establishing relationships with large distributors such as Ferguson, The Home Depot, Sears and Pacific Sales.

“Peter’s time as national sales manager was one of tremendous growth and expansion for Strasser Woodenworks, and his leadership played a key role,” said Andy Hedreen, president of Strasser Woodenworks. “We are thrilled to have him back on the team and continuing to lead as we embark on new initiatives that will continue to strengthen the business and further cement customer relationships.”

Ollestad left Strasser in 2017, spending a year with Crosswater London, a provider of premium bath fixtures. “I’m grateful for my time with Crosswater and have tremendous respect for the company, the brand, and the team,” Ollestad said. “It’s exciting to be back at Strasser Woodenworks where I spent much of my career and have established so many important partnerships. In my new role as vice president of sales, I can continue my earlier work at a new level to help move the company forward and continue to gain market share in the bathroom space.”

Ollestad is based in the manufacturer’s Woodinville, Washington, headquarters.
