The CIVIC Leadership Institute recently announced Ferguson will be honored with the Corporate Darden Award for the 14th Annual Darden Awards for Regional Leadership.

“Ferguson has focused much of its philanthropy and community service right here in Hampton Roads where the company is headquartered,” said Cathy Lewis, president and CEO of the CIVIC Leadership Institute. “With more than 1,400 locations, it’s a $15 billion company that’s always had a strong philanthropic commitment to support military families, education and workforce development.”

Past individual Darden Award winners comprise some of Hampton Roads’ most prestigious regional leaders including George Y. Birdsong, Joan and Macon Brock, John Lawson, Jane Batten, John O. “Dubby” Wynne, Jack Ezell, Vince and Suzanne Mastracco, Paul Hirshbiel, and G. Robert Aston, Jr. Dollar Tree, Landmark Media Enterprises, LLC, Newport News Shipbuilding, Norfolk Southern Corporation and Towne Bank have been recognized as previous Corporate Darden Award recipients.

The Darden Awards reception will be held on Wednesday, Nov.14 at the Decker Half Moone Center in Norfolk, Virginia. More than 550 regional executives and community leaders will celebrate the honorees and their contributions.
