Stainless steel PVF markets are poised for increases. U.S. stainless producers have announced price increases in response to a month of rising nickel prices and increasing demand of stainless products. In addition, major importers of stainless steel flanges have doubled their pricing to distributors this month in response to rising demand and perceived future demand in the Houston area caused by Hurricane Harvey. Nickel prices over the week of Sept. 11-15 declined against the rapid increases witnessed over the past month.
