Everything is under one canopy – the TORRCO canopy. After some aggressive business moves in the Connecticut, western Massachusetts and eastern New York markets, it was time for 95-year-old Waterbury, Conn.-based Torrington Supply to streamline its message so there was no confusion among customers.
The tide is still on the rise.
After the positive vibes heading into 2012 came to fruition throughout the calendar year, leaders from the first major industry trade shows of 2013 predict increases in manufacturers exhibits and show attendees heading into the International Builders Show in Las Vegas (Jan. 22-24) and the AHR Expo in Dallas (Jan. 28-30).
Mike Zimmerer understands how to achieve liftoff. It’s hard not to know how to take off when you’re working in the aerospace and space shuttle industries. But even after working a few years in a romanticized industry such as aerospace, Zimmerer wanted to make a change.
Scott Robertson has been a fixture with the North Central Wholesalers Association since 1984. He would come to the association’s annual event with his grandfather, John Robertson, and quickly hit the floors, building relationships so when he was ready to take over Ohio-based Robertson Heating Supply ( Supply House Times’ 2009 Wholesaler of the Year) he would be properly prepared.
