East Windsor, Conn.-based The Collins Companies recently announced it is ready to move into a new facility in Aston, Pa. The move already is underway with the intention of being fully functional in the new location by May 1.

The company noted the move will increase the efficiency of this operation considerably, upgrading its current location’s standalone office with three small detached warehouses into one 18,000- sq.-ft. state-of-the-art office and warehouse building. The sale closed in the beginning of March and since then contractors have been renovating the facility into a distribution center with a newly created two-acre paved and fenced pipe yard.

“Back in 2013, Collins acquired Apex Remington Pipe and Supply and agreed to lease its current facility in Marcus Hook, Pa., while we familiarized ourselves with this new market and properly planned the right size and scope of its eventual permanent home,” The Collins Companies owner and President Brian Tuohey said.

“This operation has grown nicely for us over the last two years, so when the facility on Dutton Mill Rd. in Aston came on the market it fit our needs perfectly to service our current business levels," Tuohey said. "But most importantly it allowed us the opportunity to satisfy our future anticipated growth. I am very pleased with the performance of our team in Marcus Hook and I’m thrilled to recognize and celebrate their success with this well-deserved new home.”

The new address is 2939 Dutton Mill Rd., Aston, PA, 19014.
