-- Plumbing and HVAC distributors are forecast to see a below-average revenue growth rate of 4.7% in 2004.

-- Employment growth at plumbing and HVAC distributors will be below the average for all distributors discussed in its report.

-- Distributors in the Pacific region will cut jobs in 2004, while the greatest job growth will be in the East South Central region.

-- Distributors, selling primarily into the residential market, will likely suffer from declining new-home starts and a drop in remodeling spending.

-- The outlook for commercial and industrial construction is positive - a good sign for distributors in these markets.
